Assessment of the Factors That Can Predict the Occurrence of Diabetic Ketoacidosis in Type 1 Diabetic Patients

Background: Diabetes ketoacidosis (DKA) is a common acute complication seen in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) type 1. It avoidable by following good management plan. The risk factors that have been previously identified for DKA are female gender, age, illiteracy, low socio-economic status, infection, poor metabolism, psychological issues, and compliance the treatment. Objective: present study aims at determination of time initial diagnosis DM 1, parental education regarding disease, metabolic control, insulin treatment as predictive occurrence.
